Welcome to Carterhatch Junior School

We are pleased to announce that Carterhatch Junior School is now a “Good” school. For further information, please see our recently published Ofsted report. CJS Ofsted Report Feb 2015

Thank you to everyone who supported our International Day last Friday. It was good to celebrate the many nationalities in our school. To view photos from the event, please click here.

We work hard to create an environment where children will be happy, grow in self-confidence, thrive academically and make the most of the many opportunities we offer. We pride ourselves on the pursuit of excellence both inside the classroom and out and in encouraging children to develop their talents, discover new interests and prepare for the world beyond school.

We care about results, but not exclusively. We believe education is about more than grades: it is about awareness of the world, about independent thought, about values. It is about the benefits of team sport, of culture, of academic ambition. It is about learning with enthusiasm. It is about growing up in a caring community where all, staff and children alike, are passionate about what they do. That is what we aspire to deliver.

I very much look forward to welcoming you into the family of Carterhatch where, as partners in learning together, we strive to provide the very best for your child.
