Pupils are taught to be responsible, safe and confident digital citizens. Pupils will understand and apply computing knowledge and skills across the curriculum in their everyday lives, their future workplace and within the wider society. They will be able to use and express themselves and their ideas through information and communication technology. Pupils will be taught to program using Scratch and, as they progress throughout the school, Hopscotch. Digital portfolios, such as SeeSaw, will be used to showcase pupils’ work.
The School Parliament produced a short film showcasing how computing is part of our daily lives at Carterhatch and how it helps further our learning and prepares us for a digital future.
