Admissions

Introduction

The Admission Policy for Connect Education Trust follows the Department of Education's School Admission Code and Schools Admission Appeals Code.  The Trust schools participate in Enfield Local Authority's co-ordination of admissions processes and its Fair Access Protocol.

Before admitting your child, you will be given a tour of the school.  Previous schools will be contacted to obtain information about learning and attitude.  We would hope to admit a child as soon as possible after your request for a place, but preparation time is needed both for you and the staff concerned.

Our admission limit for a class is 30 pupils and any over that number will be placed on an admissions waiting list.  Appeals may be made if your child is refused a place and this should be done through Enfield Council at the Civic Centre (telephone number: 0208 379 5501).

If you live outside the London Borough of Enfield, you must contact your own local authority to ask for the relevant application form.

For our Admissions Policy, please look under the 'About Us' tab of this website.

Admission from Carterhatch Infant School

If your child has been a pupil at Carterhatch Infant School, a formal application must be made before a place is allocated at the Junior School.  Applications for a Year 3 place can be made online at www.eadmissions.org.uk from September.  Please make a note of the deadline when applying for your place.

Once the local authority has confirmed the place for your child, you will be asked to complete a Google form.  Please complete this form as it will provide us with important information for when your child joins the Carterhatch Junior School.

In-year applications and admissions

Applications should be made using the document below and submitted to the Enfield Local Authority and not directly to the school.  Details for the return of documents are on the form.
